Director, Sales: Due Diligence, Investigations & Advisory

Role:

PSA is seeking a sales leader to expand our US client outreach. The successful candidate will have a strong background in direct sales and previous exposure to investigations, intelligence collection, journalism, or international affairs is a plus. A self-starter, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving agreed initiatives and will report weekly to the CEO on progress. S/he will coordinate weekly with group marketing and PSA analytical teams in-region.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new business for PSA in the US
  • Grow our US revenue and clients and exceed annual revenue targets
  • Develop a “trusted advisor” relationship with key individuals within a client organization
  • Demonstrate leadership by engaging PSA in support of client objectives.

Reporting:

Utilizing company CRM the S/he will maintain accurate and up to date accounts of clients, opportunities, new client contact details, outreach and outcome, as well as size and scope of any developing opportunities to enable accurate forecasting.

Knowledge:

Working closely with operational colleagues, S/he will develop fluency in PSA offerings and the range of customer needs supported by these solutions. S/he will use engage with current and prospective clients and will provide regular client feedback to PSA. S/he will maintain a working understanding of our competitors’ offerings and the trends within our industry/market.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will have three (3) to five (5) years in client facing sales. S/he must have strong communications skills and the ability to present well to all levels of an organization, including executives. S/he must be able to manage often competing tasks and be excited about working on international matters.

Location and Travel:

The successful candidate will be based inside the continental United States. Limited travel requirements (10% of total time) are anticipated for 2021. However, it is anticipated that following 2021 a total of 6-8 weeks of US travel a year will be required.

Research Analysts and Editors

 Shanghai, China

Role:

Pacific Strategies & Assessments (“PSA”) is currently seeking Research Analysts and Editors for its Shanghai office. These are entry level positions with strong prospects for growth and increased responsibility.

The requirements and responsibilities listed below are for both positions, as a significant part of the Research Analyst role will cover editing and vice versa.

Responsibilities:

  • Write, package and edit reports in English, based on research carried out by other team members.
  • Write clear and concise executive summaries suitable for C-suite executives and senior compliance officers to use as a basis for their decision making.
  • Conduct media research and inquiries in English (and Chinese, when necessary).
  • Assist in and manage due diligence and investigation cases.

Basic Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a relevant subject.
  • Native English language level.
  • Intermediate Chinese language skills.
  • Two years of relevant experience, or otherwise able to meet work visa requirements – for example, a recent foreign graduate of an accredited Chinese university in a relevant field.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct online media research/social media research
• Effectively collect, collate and analyze data
• Prepare interview questions as assigned
• Conduct interviews with subjects and subject matter experts
• Maintain accurate records of interviews
• Manage and respond to project related tasking and emails
• Accurately monitor project budgets

Requirements:

• University level degree in Political Science, Finance, or related field (Masters level degree is a plus)
• Fluency (both written and spoken) in Mandarin Chinese, Thai, Bahasa, Russian, Portuguese Spanish or other languages is a plus
• Ideal Candidate must be professional and motivated self-starter capable of delivering well researched documents under little direct supervision

Senior Associate-Finance

Role:

The Senior associate manages the day-to-day financial operation of PSA’s global accounts and ensures tax and corporate compliance to various regions. Assists the finance director to review company policies, advice on regulatory risks, and develop efficient finance practices.

Responsibilities:

• Manages accounts payables and receivables
• Analyzes, records, and summarized financial transactions
• Performs monthly closing including bank reconciliation, and review of ledgers
• Prepares financial reports for management use
• Reviews statutory financial statements and tax returns
• Coordinates with the external auditors and consultants for compliances
• Communicates updates and financial processes to team members
• Assists in both client and supplier onboarding procedures
• Maintain systems of internal control and recommend financial operational improvements, as necessary
• Directly reports to the Finance Director
• Performs ad-hoc tasks as required

Requirements:

• The candidate must be CPA
• 3-4 years relevant working experience in Accounting or Finance, preferably with audit exposure
• Has a strong sense of professionalism and integrity
• Highly organized, flexible and keen on details
• Methodical in analyzing and solving problems
• Ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision
• Ability to draft and submit reports with high accuracy and on-time delivery
• Ability to write business letters and emails and confident in corresponding with customers, suppliers, and other external parties
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, resourceful in finding information, and adept at using online tools.
• Preferably, knowledgeable in the use of QuickBooks
• Available to report at Makati office when required
